Purpose of the guide
It explains how to contact someone outside the address book in MS Teams .
Prerequisites
To be able to apply this setting, you need to:
- Have an MS Teams license
- The user we wish to contact must have an email address associated with a Microsoft 365 account
- The user you want to interact with must be authorized by the administrator of his or her Microsoft 365 account to have access from outside the company
Talk to guest users
To search for users outside the domain, the procedure to follow is as follows:
- Log in to MS Teams
- In the search field enter the full username you want to contact
- Select the item "Search <user> externally"
