Purpose of the guide
Instruct the user in the various types of connections to the STI with different devices.
Connect with Windows via vCastSender on the private PC
- Prerequisites: local administrative rights
- Be connected in the same network with the whiteboard and with the PC with which we want to connect
Download the STI ViewSonic software (vCastSender) for Windows through the official website:https://www.viewsonic.com/eu/products/commercial-display/ViewBoard%C2%AE%20Cast#downloads
A zip file will be downloaded which we should extract and install the “vCastSender_3.3.709.exe” file, run the wizard and once finished we can open the newly installed software.
Opening the software opens a window that looks like this:
The PIN to be able to connect will be found in the STI .
To get the PIN you will need to open the vCastSender application.
The vCastSender application is located on the main screen ( 
) of the STI and looks like this:
The vCastSender application of the STI will give us a temporary code.
The code will be entered in the application on the PC.
Entered the code, which is given to us by the STI , we will be asked if we want to transmit the image of our PC to the STI or receive the projected image from the STI .
In the "Cast" option we can decide if we want to share the full screen or extend the main screen.
When we want to disconnect from the whiteboard just click on “Disconnect” in the vCastSender application of the PC.
Connect to the STI via Miracast
- Prerequisites: Have one of the following Windows versions: Windows 8, 8.1, 10
- Be connected to the same network as the STI
Windows Miracast
From the main screen of the STI we have to open the "Miracast" application and activate it:
When we go to activate the Miracast function on the STI , we will be asked for a PIN (default is 0000) in case it has been changed, contact the RIS .
Once the Miracast function is activated, with the combination of the “Windows + K” keys (pressed simultaneously on the keyboard), a window will open on the right side of the PC, where you can connect to the whiteboard.
The name of the whiteboard can be found once the Miracast option is activated.

If all goes well, find the name of the STI .
Just click on the name and your computer will connect automatically. By default the computer will connect in "duplicate" mode.
To change the display mode, click “Change the projection mode” and choose the desired mode.
Connect with M AC OS via vCastSender

Connect to the STI with an M AC via Apple Airplay
To connect from AirPlay on the Mac computer, go directly to the Airplay button and select the STI to connect:

Connect to the STI with iPad / iPhone via Apple Airplay
- Prerequisites: Be connected in the same network with the whiteboard and with the device with which we want to connect
Open the notification bar and select "Duplicate screen":
Select the STI where you want to project:

Connect with vCastSender on mobile devices (cell phones and tablets)
Prerequisites: Be connected in the same network with the whiteboard and with the device with which we want to connect
- Check that the device is under the same network as the ViewBoard.
- Scan the QR code to download the app or search for “vCastSender” on playstore or Appstore.
- Start the application and select the desired ViewSonic and insert the Pin shown on the screen
Connect to the STI with Android mobile devices via Screen Cast
Prerequisites: Be connected in the same network with the whiteboard and with the PC with which we want to connect
Open the notification bar and select "Screen Cast"
Select the STI where you want to project

Give the ok to the pop-up by clicking "Start Now"
