Information

To connect the ViewSonic to the Internet and take advantage of all its functions, an Internet connection is required. To connect it you need to configure the Wi-Fi module or use an ethernet cable.

Access the connection panel

To access the configuration of the Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections to set your SSID (name of the signal transmitted by your access point) you need to:

  1. Press the button on the ViewSonic front keypad.
  2. A menu will appear on the display. Press the gear icon next to the "ViewBoard" item to access the settings.
  3. Select "Wireless Network" on the left column. In this screen there are different types of connections that the interactive whiteboard offers for its configuration.

Wi-Fi connection setup

From the connections screen you need to:

  1. Select the "Wi-Fi" item
  2. If disabled, turn the status to "On" by pressing the button
  3. Press the "Add Network" button to set up a new Wi-Fi connection to your access point.

Ethernet connection configuration

For this type of connection, a LAN cable connected to a port of the ethernet switch is required. Then you need to:

  1. Connect the cable to the LAN port on the bottom right of the ViewSonic.
  1. Access the connections configuration panel, seen earlier at the beginning of this guide.
  2. Press the "Ethernet" button.
  3. Configure the network card by selecting the "Local Network" type. If there is a DHCP server, you will automatically receive the IP and DNS configuration. Otherwise, configure your network by selecting "manual" and enter your configuration.

Attention

If the Wi-Fi module is used, the Ethernet connection will be disabled and vice versa. Therefore it is not possible to use them at the same time
